Obviously measuring the progress of the peoples as they present ,to their societies and to themselves, methods of prosperity, and so through the creation of social institutions, associations, cultural and sports clubs, which provides all the human needs of science, culture, education, sports, art, and so on.

If we Scrutinized , we see in the underdeveloped societies that its  free of these institutions and it is totally groundless. This has gotten out of control and it's worsened illness  has spread all over the  communities and lead them down and might not recover again ...

We in Barelias, What about our institutions and what are our achievements?

 A short tour on the horizon of our town, explore and review these institutions and where is it now :

 In the mid-1960s, a group of people from our town goodness, called into session among themselves to build a mosque, "Usman bin Affan" God bless him, the idea had expanded to include people of philanthropists in the Bekaa region and other regions and received financial and moral support from both hands extended to him, The note of thanks and appreciation and gratitude to all those who contributed to the building of the mosque, which was inaugurated in 1982, , and today it receives  prayers from the town and the people of other passengers and passers-road.

 At almost the same historical period, The municipality Barelias offered land area of 18 thousand square meters to the Ministry of Education to be held on this land schools complex.

 Today, the hallmarks of these schools and educational institutions become a beacon for  students from the town and beyond.

In the early 1970s, another group of  goodness people , dedicated itself to the service of Barelias, founded the Islamic Charity.

 This institution had culminated its work by starting  the building of  Ibn Sina Hospital, managed despite the difficult conditions to complete the bulk of the building and then  the building has been transferred to the Ministry of Health. Now  a part of the building held as a health center and  the other part of the building as town hall( house the municipality).

 Also of our society :

 The younger Generation Club (al jeel alsa3d) in the 1960s (did not complete the sport career for a long time)

Jupiter Club (still engaged in sports activities, especially basketball).

 -Nasser Club (cultural-social-athlete) : Founded in 1973 as  cultural club. His aim is  providing high cultural atmosphere and raise the level of the town's social, Nasser club one of the most active clubs  in the Bekaa region in the cultural, social, domain, and particularly interested in sports activities volleyball and football, Nasser got the notice of the activities of sports in 1986. He has many achievements, including :

-contribute to the removal of soil Tall Barelias after the disaster of its collapse in 1983.

 - Includes the construction of a large sports halls and large hall for celebrations, lectures and all occasions.

 - Contributing to the construction and building Barelias Secondary  official School.

Several new courses in sports, medical and technical, educational and cultural exhibitions of books.

 - The launch of Ramadan cultural competition of a preparation by Mr.Nadeem Murad, and has received broad participation by those interested in the cultural affairs of all classes and ages

. - Honoring superior students in public examinations.

- Honoring teachers in the schools of Barelias on the Teacher's Day.

- Has many artistic activities and sports festivals and cultural lectures.

- Has many participations and achievements in chess sessions in  Bekaa and Beirut.

 - Contributed to laying the foundation forthe building of Barelias Intermediate Official School, through official campaign contributions from the good people of the town. prior to the assignment of the building of the Council of Development and Construction for the completion of the construction process.

 - Establish vaccination campaigns in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

- Establishment of a health center in cooperation with Other associations in 1990.

-  Graduates Association : Founded in 1991, and obtained notice from the Ministry of the Interior .It established educational  , cultural and health committees. And then stopped the practice of  social work because of the migration of the members of constituent body of work outside the home and did not complete the march.

 In addition to the many cultural organizations there are  Palestinian  committees contributing to  many business and cultural activities in Barelias.

 In any event, we wish these associations and clubs work harder to develop the town, culturally, socially and in sports, and upgrade in all areas of life.
